Are there different types of life insurance policies? How do I know what is right for me?

Yes, there are many different types of coverage (such as Term, Universal LIfe, Accidental, and Whole LIfe), and it’s important to know which type is best for your particular stage in life. We can advise you on which is the right type for you, based on your individual needs.

What is the difference between term & whole life insurance?

Very simply, TERM coverage is TEMPORARY, and WHOLE LIFE is PERMANENT.

Each type makes sense in different stages of our lives, and it’s important to be in the right coverage at the right time.

TEMPORARY coverage (TERM) will expire at some point (either after a certain number of years or once you reach a certain age), leaving you with no coverage. Term policy premiums will also increase over time, becoming very expensive and no longer affordable.

PERMANENT coverage (WHOLE LIFE) will never expire or be canceled, and the premiums can never increase. They are very predictable policies and rates are locked in from the day you put them in place.

I have insurance through work, so I don’t need any additional coverage, right?

While it’s a great benefit of your job to offer life insurance, you don’t own the policy and you normally can’t take it with you when you leave the company voluntarily, due to a disability, or retire. Owning your own life insurance policy is extremely important to make sure that your loved ones are protected.
